ALL PRICE PROTECTION PROGRAMS WILL REQUIRE A SIGNED CONTRACT AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY.

Alger Oil & Propane offers Price Protection plans to help customers cope with energy price inflation, and we will work with you to choose the best program for your family and budget.

If you are interested in these price protection programs, please read about our three plans below, and call Alger Oil & Propane at 610-932-4104 or 410-778-0600 or contact us for more information or to enroll.

You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) and pay based on market conditions, but never exceeding the "cap price" that we agree upon when you enroll, regardless of how high prices go during the heating season.

  • Pros: Your maximum price is capped, and you won't pay more regardless of where prices go. If prices decrease, you will benefit. Please speak with an Alger Oil & Propane representative for more details or contact us.
  • Cons: Picking a point in time to choose your cap may result in paying higher prices if market drops.

You purchase your seasonal supply (or a portion of it) in advance. We price your oil based on preseason prices with a built-in discount that rewards you for paying in advance.

  • Pros: Your bill is paid in advance, and your price is locked in. If prices increase during the heating season, you avoid paying the higher price. This may also be a good budgeting tool to maintain your finances.
  • Cons: If the price should decrease during the heating season, you will not benefit because your price is locked in.

This plan combines capped price with the predictable monthly payments of a budget plan. Your price will not exceed the cap price set when you enroll, regardless of how high fuel prices go during the heating season, but will drop if fuel prices go down. We then spread your heating budget across 11 months, so your heating bills will not spike during the winter, when your oil usage is the highest.

Alger Oil & Propane accepts payment by cash, check, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover), debit card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
